Ebb & Flow offers a unique array of Yoga practices for all ages and abilities. Classes are suitable for beginners to yoga boffins.  Ebb & Flow also offers Aerial Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga (Yoga Therapy), Sports Yoga, Workplace Yoga & Teens Yoga & Mindfulness. Ebb & Flow Yoga also prides itself on innovate, creative pop-up Yoga Events & Workshops :)

Vinyasa Yoga is the main style of Yoga taught at Ebb & Flow. It’s a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. 

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles. A deliciously deep and mindful practice in which floor-based postures are held for 3-5 minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. This allows the body to slowly stretch and unwind. 

Yoga Therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people with health challenges. Yoga therapists prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises & relaxation & mindfulness techniques to suit individual needs. Medical research shows that Yoga Therapy is among the most effective complementary therapies for several common ailments. The challenges may be an illness, a temporary condition or a chronic condition. 

Yoga for Pregnancy comprises of a series of exercises that will help you’re your body cope with the huge changes going on and prepare for the birth of your baby or babies. It allows you time to nurture yourself in a safe, warm & encouraging environment with like-minded people. In turn allowing you to relax and enjoy your new-found bodily changes and to connect with your unborn baby.

Aerial Yoga Ebb & Flow offers authentic yoga, with the support of a soft, aerial fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling — to explore, refine, and advance traditional yoga poses (asanas), both in the air and on the ground.  Strength, Mobility and Flexibility are all combined together in this revolutionary class that takes yoga to the next level. Uniquely developed for beginners thru all levels of experience. In a small class size, you’ll explore new and traditional yoga asanas (yoga postures) with your body weight partially or fully supported. Never more than a few feet off the ground, you’ll let go into gravity, be held in the hammock & leave blissed out!

About Maeve (Owner & Teacher)

Hi there! I am a certified Yoga Therapist, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Mindfulness & Animal Flow Fitness Teacher. I am also a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist. I came to yoga a number of years ago, to a hot power practise known as Fierce Grace. I got started originally for fitness, as I was a reluctant runner looking for an alternative! I was also in quite a stressful, busy corporate job with a ridiculous commute and badly needed the ‘down-time’.

I initially got hooked on the heat and the physical benefits this form of yoga gives me, but I unexpectedly began to find myself more and more drawn in by the mental balance I came enjoy from yoga.

As I caught the bug, I began to explore other styles of yoga also, such as, Forrest Yoga, Bikram, Acroyoga, Aerial Flow, Yin & Vinyasa. It was with Vinyasa I found my true passion – blending a powerful, physical flow practise with mindfulness and breathing techniques. Yin is the opposite of the strong Yang / Vinyasa style and this balance suits my personality and personal preferences. More recently, I have gone on to achieve a Diploma in Yoga Therapy (adapting Yoga for health conditions, ailments & injuries) to support my belief that Yoga is for everyone and every body. This intensive, comprehensive study on anatomy & physiology supported me further to ensure my Yoga classes are accessible for all body types, sizes, shapes regardless of experience, age or injuries.

In early 2017, I made the leap, leaving Dublin and the corporate working world behind to move home to Co. Kerry. Back to my beloved beach (Banna!) to teach Yoga full-time and it's been an amazing experience! It's very cool to have been the first to offer a weekly Yin Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Aerial Yoga & Yoga for Pregnancy in Tralee! I’ve also made it a goal to offer innovate, creative workshops & events such as YogaFest Tralee, Yoga & SUP Adventure Days, Hot Yoga on the Pool Deck & many more…

My teaching experience from some great Yoga studios & Teachers and with corporate clients in Dublin, led me to develop a unique style! In my classes you can expect a laid back, playful approach with strong flows. My focus tends not to be solely on physical alignment, as I bring the concept of mindfulness to the mat too and will encourage you to try this out for yourself!

And here’s the thing, it won't always be easy, sometimes it’s going to be really challenging but I promise you this, it’s absolutely worth it! Come to class and join me for some innovative sequencing, a rocking sound track and develop peace of mind. Come along and go with the flow!
