What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is the adaptation of Yoga practices for people with health or fitness challenges or particular health conditions. As a Yoga Therapist, I formulate specific Yoga practices such as postures, breathing techniques, mindfulness & relaxation techniques to help relieve suffering, manage & improve health conditions / injuries and promote health & wellbeing. Each session is tailored to the needs of a small group or to the individual to promote healing.

Medical research shows that Yoga Therapy is among the most effective complementary therapies for several ailments.

It is typically conducted on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups. The first Yoga Therapy session is 75mins and includes a full patient history to best ascertain the reason for the session and how we can best work together. Private small group and 1-2-1 sessions are often a better choice for some people. Sometimes the class environment is not suited to the individual, especially where certain health conditions are a matter for concern, for busy people who can't commit to a class or for those wanting to further their own practice.

A private class acknowledges all those aspects and celebrates your individuality through sequences and practices which have been hand picked to perfectly support your body and mind. You'll receive plenty of personalised tips and hands-on-assists throughout the class . 

Oftentimes an individual class is enough to get the fire going again and sort minor mis-alignment in the body. However if you have a bigger injury or simply want to enjoy regular personalised tuition we can get you going on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule.

Classes are approximately 1 hour & start at €50 for a 1-2-1 class. Semi-private or small group rates vary. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to know more.
